Edit Insurance Type for Active Insurance Plans (WebABA Pro & Group)

 Permissions: You must have Billing Permissions.

If a Client has two active Insurances (Insurance A and Insurance B). Insurance A is saved as the Primary Insurance and Insurance B is saved as the Secondary Insurance. When Insurance B is changed to be the Primary then Insurance A will automatically be changed to secondary. 

1. Locate Client and open Client Profile.
2. Click Bill To & Insurance Info tab.
3. Click the Actions drop-down for appropriate insurance, then select Edit Insurance from the drop-down.
   

   NOTE: It is important to add an effective date for the insurance. The system uses the effective date to determine the correct payer(s) to resubmit claims.  

4. Change the Insurance Type.
5. Click Save button.
