In Client Messaging, you can send & copy secure messages to your client's contact log. This allows you to have all communications with the client in one place as part of their medical record.

Overview
The following guidelines apply to all instances of copying messages to the client(s) contact log.
- Secure messages can only be copied to open cases.
- You must be assigned to the case to copy a message to the client's contact log.
- If a client only has one open case, that case will be checked by default.
- If you are assigned to multiple open cases for a client, you will be able to select which client case(s) the message is copied to.
- Once the message has been copied to all open cases, the button to copy the message will be disabled.
- A message cannot be uncopied from secure messaging. You will need to delete the message from the client's contact log.
There are three ways you can copy a message to a client's contact log.
- When viewing a message from your inbox for the sent tab.
- When composing a message.
- When replying to a message.
Copy a Message from the Inbox or Sent Folder
- Click the message to open it.
- Click Copy to Contact Log.
- Select the case(s) you want the message copied to.

Click Copy to Contact Log(s).
Compose & Copy a Message
- Click Compose.
- Enter message information and click Send & Copy to Contact Log.
- Select the case(s) you want the message copied to.
- Click Send & Copy to Contact Log(s).
Reply & Copy a Message
- Click the message to open it.
- Click Reply.
- Enter message information and click Send & Copy to Contact Log.
- Select the case(s) you want the message copied to.
- Click Send & Copy to Contact Log(s).
Copy Secure Messages to Group Cases
- Select an existing message or compose a new message for a client who has an open group case.
- Click Copy to Contact Log(s) or Send & Copy to Contact Log for the message. The selection pop-up window opens.
- Select the group case(s) you want the message copied to.
- Click Copy to Contact Log(s) or Send & Copy to Contact Log.
Copy Messages to Archived Clients
If you try to copy a message to a contact log for an archived client, you will need to unarchive the client before you can complete this action.
- Click Copy Contact to Contact Log for a message received from an archived client.
- A pop-up window opens to let you know you are unable to copy the message. You will need to unarchive the client and make sure there is an open case for the client before copying the message. Learn more about how to unarchive clients.
NOTE: Messages copied to multiple clients will copy to active client contact logs. Any archived clients will need to be unarchived and have an open case to complete the action.
